Mrs. Twala Elaine Daley

Twala Daley, the daughter of Palestine Cuningkin and Mosie (Moses) Cuningkin Sr. was born in Benton, Arkansas on September 30, 1959. She grew up attending St. Paul Baptist Church located in the Ralph Bunch Community in Benton, Arkansas. Further into adulthood, she joined St. Mark Baptist Church and held her membership there until she transitioned. Twala gladly centered her life around her faith, family, and friends. Her Presence and Personality Along with her outward beauty, she had an infectious smile and a bubbly spirit that accompanied her whenever she walked into the room. You could often expect to be greeted with the warmest hug and kisses. Afterwards, there would be good conversation sprinkled with witty humor whenever she was around. Her congeniality and easy going nature made you feel at ease while being in her presence. Her Passions Beyond being around the people she loved, Twala had a special affinity for interior decorating, for which she took classes and received her certification. She took such pride in creating and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and welcoming environment both inside her home and in her yard as well. She really enjoyed nurturing her plants and flowers and the beauty that came as a result of them thriving. Twala was very passionate about structure, organization, cleanliness, and attention to details. Whether it be home decor, food, or fashion, Twala had exquisite taste and standards. She very much enjoyed shopping, traveling, and a vast genre of music. For those who really knew her, one of her greatest passions must be acknowledged… her weekly scheduled salon appointments! As we know, she certainly did not play when it came to her hair! Her Peers Twala graduated from Benton High School and had a very special bond with the Class of 1977 from the Ralph Bunch Community. Over the years, they have remained deeply connected, celebrating and supporting each other through life’s joyous times and life’s most difficult times as well. She was always excited and eager to spend time with her classmates. They have enjoyed countless reunions, milestone birthdays, and many beautiful moments that deepen their connection all the more. Her People What a blessing it was to be part of her circle! Twala cared so deeply about her family, friends, neighbors, and community. Her willingness to lend a helping hand, offer advice, and her spontaneous gestures of kindness will be sorely missed. Twala will always be remembered amongst her family and her friends for how she loved, how she gave, and the joy she brought into our lives.To know her was to love her. Her legacy is left to be cherished and honored by; her dearest son, Brennan Medcalf; her husband Robert Daley; 2 beautiful grandchildren; Brennan “Jmari” Medcalf and Legacy Forever Singleton aka “Bre Ella Mae Medcalf”; 1 brother - Dannie (Veniene) Cuningkin; 3 sisters - Vergie Ford, Clara (Doyle) Moore, and Toni Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Palestine Butler Cuningkin and Moses Cuningkin Sr.; 1 brother - Moses Cuningkin Jr.; and 1 sister - Deborah Yvonne Cuningkin.
