Obituary Kyisha Lanae Price,13, of Little Rock, Arkansas transitioned to her final resting place on Friday, May 27, 2022. She was born in Oakland, CA on October 22, 2008, to Kristi Franklin Taylor and Melvin Price,Jr.. In 2009, her mom moved the family back to Little Rock, AR. Kyisha accepted Christ and was baptized in 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Little Rock. Kyisha was preceded in death by her sister, Keyanna Franklin; maternal great parents, Lewis and Ora Franklin; paternal granddad, Melvin Price,Sr.; cousin, Antoinesha Rochelle Williams. Kyisha was a fun and loving child. She loved her family and friends very much. Kyisha attended Washington Magnet Elementary. She enjoyed being on the cheer team at Washington. Shaquita Shaw and Katena Berkley were dear to Kyisha’s heart, they were her favorite cheer coaches. Kyisha was also a part of the Bassett Klassy Kat dance team. Kyisha and her sisters attended after school tutoring at Our House for many years. She was currently enrolled in the 7th grade at Horace Mann Middle School. Some of her hobbies were: drawing, dancing, singing, swimming and acting. Kyisha aspired to become a singer or actress someday. She attended church at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Little Rock, under the leadership of Pastor John Smith. Kyisha leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Kristi Franklin Taylor (Little Rock, AR); father, Melvin Price,Jr. (Little Rock, AR); sisters: Keyerra Collins (Little Rock, AR), Keanna Taylor (Little Rock, AR), Kamiya Price (Little Rock, AR); maternal grandmother, Carolyn Ellis (Dublin, CA); maternal great grandfather, Sylvester Ellis (Buckeye, AZ); maternal grandparents, Larry and Lynette Jordan (Little Rock, AR); paternal grandmother, Janice Price (Wynne, AR); aunts, Cassandra Buckley(Dublin, CA), Denyka Buckley (Hayward, CA), Niketa (Jerome) Tillman (Little Rock, AR), Ashley (Terrance) Purnell of Atlanta, GA and Thelma Mahone (Wynne, AR); uncle, Marcus Franklin (Oakland, CA); godmother, Fratina London (Little Rock, AR); god aunt, Angela Thornton (Little Rock, AR); best friends Kaitlyn Houston and Matthew Bailey and a host aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, school teachers and friends. Kyisha was a teenager full of life. She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
