Paul Ray Waters, was born January 4, 1945, in Wrightsville, Arkansas. He accepted Christ, knew the marvelous joy of God’s love and left to be with Him on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Paul graduated from Sweet Home High School. After moving to Little Rock, Arkansas, he maintained close ties with the Wrightsville Community throughout his life. Many will remember him for his relaxed attitude and unique sense of humor. He had an exceptional talent for expression which allowed him to turn a phrase and tell a story in a manner that only he could. When the situation warranted it, Paul could also hold your attention as he dispensed his own brand of profound wisdom. He was skilled in his ability to reach across generational lines and connect with everyone. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed the simpler things in life. In particular, he was an avid fan of televised sports and westerns. Paul loved his family dearly as evidenced in the way he reached out regularly and the genuine interest he showed in their lives. Paul was proceeded in death by his parents; Eddie B. and Mary Lee Waters; wife, Mozetta Mays Waters and all of his siblings, Janie Lee Sanders, Henry Lane, Rhina Woods, Ruthie Mae Bailey, Thelma Burnside, Gloria Jean Thomas and Eddie Lee Waters. He leaves to cherish his memory; two sisters-in-law, Lois M. Lane and Pearlie Mae Waters and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
