Boyd Funeral Home. Mr. Shanon Theo Ward was born on June 6, 1966 in, Lawton, Oklahoma to, Robert Earl and Sylvetta M. Ward. In his early years, Shanon was raised by, Julius James and Millie Muriel Brooks. He later reunited with his mother in, 2005 after Millie’s passing. Shanon confessed hope in Jesus Christ at an early age under the leadership of, Reverend Otis Campbell at Beebe Chapel CME Church, Wrightsville, Arkansas where he was a member of the, Adult Choir. After a number of years at Beebe Chapel, Shanon became a member of, St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, North Little Rock, AR under the leadership of, Pastor Eric L. Alexander. Shanon enjoyed: eating, dancing, playing the piano, singing, having church and riding his bike. He attended, United Methodist Children’s Center at an early age. He was the first special needs graduate of the Pulaski County Special School District- J. A. Fair High School class of, 1986. Shanon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore Ward, Sr. and Claudia B. Ward; Sylvan T. and Hattie B. Daniels; parents, Julius J. and Millie M. Brooks and brother, Eric Daniels. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother and father; brother, Brian Ward; sisters, Michelle Kelley, Tina Ward, Muriel “Lyn” Ward and Tena C. Brooks; stepmother, Pat Rogers-Ward; sister in law, Leola L. Daniels; aunt, Geritha U. Hargrett and a host of, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Shanon will be greatly missed. The visitation will be, “Walk Through.” Due to COVID-19, during the visitation, CDC guidelines will be strictly enforced to ensure the safety of the Ward family, the community and our staff. Additionally, you must adhere to the safety practices the funeral home has established. We also ask that on the day of the Graveside Service that everyone practice social distancing and stand at least 6 feet apart and refrain from ALL physical contact.(handshakes, hugs, kisses etc.) A mask is RECOMMENDED by everyone that attends these events.
