Feel free to sign the guest book, leave a comment, light a candle or purchase a floral arrangement for the family of Tanisha Renee’ Cotton. Tanisha Rene’ Cotton, 42, was called home to our heavenly father on March 28, 2020. She was born on June 17, 1977 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her fathers, James Jones and Kenneth Cotton; her grandmother Ruby Cotton; her grandfathers Cecil Cotton and Tank Berry Jr.; and aunts and uncles who are resting as well. She leaves to cherish her memory; mother, Rita Jones; step mother Rovanne Lovelace; her sisters, Shelly Cotton, Cozetta Jones, Kamille Hairston (Courtney) and LaTia Wright (Mark); her grandmother Pearlen Berry; nieces and nephews, Alexis Heard, Ty Robinson, Katlyn Watson, Nicholas Rose, Kylon Watson, Datwon Bonds, Mark Wright, Jr., and Karson Young; an abundance of aunts, uncles and host of extended family and friends. Tanisha was a graduate of J.A. Fair High School, Class of 1995 and attended UA-Little Rock. Tanisha was an active member of St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock. While a member, she volunteered for the hospitality ministry and transported members to and from church service. Tanisha worked many wonderful jobs, Carlton & Bates was her primary employer for five years. She was also employed at Simmons Arena and the William J. Clinton Library and Museum. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, a friend to many and a faithful servant. She had a very loving and kind spirit. If you had her as a friend, you were truly blessed. Tanisha may not have had biological children but she loved and cared for so many by going to basketball games, baseball/softball games, track & field and other activities—anything positive. She supported all of her babies. Tanisha loved to organize family events big or small but traveling was her ultimate pastime. She would quickly hop in the car and take a road trip with family and friends. Tanisha would joke that she lived out of her suitcase. Her favorite cruise partner was her mother, Rita Jones. Tanisha believed in working, but also living her life to the fullest with no regrets. During the public visitation, CDC recommendations and guidelines will be strictly enforced to ensure the safety and health of the Cotton and Jones Families, the community and our staff. We will be allowing only 5 visitors in the building at a time and social distancing must be practiced.
