Terri Lynn Burke

On Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, Jesus called out “Terri come take your final rest”. On October 17, 1963, the late Ray C. Hawkins and Earslean Cooper welcomed a beautiful baby girl whom they named Terri Lynn Hawkins “Burke”. Terri was the second to the oldest daughter of Earslean’s born in Fordyce Arkansas. Preceding in death by a daughter Earlean Banks and a sister Levonne “Bonnie” Hawkins. Terri gave her life to Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Pastor John L. Brown, Corner Stone Church of God in Christ in Las Vegas Nv. Terri later answered the calling of Reverend in 2014 under the leadership of the late Paster Mattie Forte. Terri was dedicated to Free Praise and Worship until Jesus called her home. Terri received her education in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas Nv. She graduated class of 1981 from Bonanza High School. Terri loved people this is what caused her to take on the role at the Stardust Hotel and Casino. She continued to show her love for people by also accepting a position at Carthage Nursing Home and later at Millcreek of Arkansas. To know Terri was to Love Terri, she had a sense of humor and a don’t play with me attitude. If you wherever around during a spades game with her you have heard these words, “I went to college and graduated in spades”. Terri’s memories will be cherished by her children, Shamika Sparks (Lavor), Shawntay Hawkins and Melvin Banks Jr. all of Arkansas. Twelve grandchildren; Davaria Preston, Dakarai Williams, Derrion Hawkins, Heaven Jacobs, Jada Hawkin, Aaliyah Banks, Amiyah Banks, Ashanti Banks, Averi Banks, Keriyouna Simon, Anai Jackson and Bailey Jackson. Priceless Memories will be cherished by her siblings; Cynthia Hawkins, Althea Hawkins, Tracy Cooper, Neomia Hawkins, Pamela Hawkins-Price, Terry Hawkins (Alexandria), Alfred Hawkins and Willie Evans. Uncles/Aunts; Frances Lea, Alfreddy Jacobs, James Lea and Harold Lea. A host of nieces/nephews, God children; Deshaun Turner and Diamond Jacobs, cousins and friends.
