Mrs. Loubertta Neal

Lou Bertta Jackson-Neal aka “Loubertta” was born November 29, 1946, in Kilbourne, Louisiana. On Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at 3:33pm, she answered the call from Yahweh. She was the daughter of the late Robert Henry Jackson and the late Birdie B. Causey who preceded her in death. Now she too lay to rest along beside her three brothers: S.W., Harry Lee and Leon Jackson and her three sisters: Rose Marie, Marilyn Louise and Sandra Kaye Jackson whom preceded before her. She was the oldest of 17 children. Loubertta was raised in Wilmot, Arkansas. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wilmot led by Reverend Henry Ford. She attended school at Slack-Le-Grand. Later, she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas at 17 where she held various occupations. She worked at AMF Bicycle company for years until it closed its doors. She also went to a barber college where she became a licensed beautician. In 1975 she married Alonzo Bailey, Sr. They both had 2 children prior to their union. They only had one child together. She later married Ricky Neal who preceded her in death. After leaving Wilmot, her “Faith Walk” as a Christian continued in several churches. At Community Baptist Church here in Little Rock, AR under the leadership of the late Pastor Tyrone Johnson, she was an usher and she loved singing in the choir. She loved serving others as God would have us to do. Prior to her death, she united with Liberty Hill Baptist Church (Little Rock, AR) under the leadership of Pastor Hershel Lovelace. She loved fishing, dancing and playing cards. She loved going to Mac Arthur Park on the weekends. She had a compassionate heart and opened her doors to many strangers. Life wasn’t easy for my mother. She went through several crisis’ at an early age and throughout her life. But the beauty of it all, she was an overcome, a faithful believer and a true fighter to the end. She leaves to cherish her memory four children: Rebecca Jackson, Timothy Jackson, Ronaldo Bailey, Orlando Jones whom all reside in Little Rock, AR. She leaves five brothers: Sammie (Linda), Edward (Sue Ellen), Wilbert, Johnathan and Reverend David Jackson all of Little Rock, AR. She leaves fours sisters: Dorothy Jackson of Hattiesburg, MS, Flora (Haroll) Jackson, Emma (Tommy) Caster and Carolyn Jackson all of Little Rock, AR. She also leaves 18 grandchildren: Makisha (Bishop Jason Williams), Quiana Cosey-Russell and A’Drea Cosey; Timothy Jr., Christopher, Jasmine, Lydia, Caleb, Tyler, Elise and Zion Jackson; Raylin, Saniyah, K’Ron Bailey; Desiree, Orlando 3rd., Nia and Quinton Jones. She leaves also 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grands Naomi and Nairobi and 2 more great-greats in the oven. She leaves four aunts: Lauria Jones (Oakland, CA), Melve Lee Turner (El Sobrante, CA), Bonnie Penn aka “Ruthie” (Wilmot, AR) and Alberta Causey (Bastrop, Louisiana). A host of nephews, nieces, cousin’s, in-laws and friends.
